From the "Routes" tab, custom service alerts can be sent out to specific users of the ParentView App following a route or a run (tier). The alerts are received by users in the form of a push notification that goes through to their phone (if enabled), in the Notifications menu, or via email (if enabled in Settings) .
To send a service alert to a route, click the gear in the Action column corresponding to the whole route you would like to alert.
To send a service alert to a run, click the gear in the Action column corresponding to the individual run you would like to alert.
- Ex: Route Service Alert would go to ALL of Route 1 (in red). Run Level Service Alert would go to only Run 21-01_PM (in green).
After selecting to send a service alert, a prompt will appear requiring you to select a category, title, and message to be sent to users. One you hit send, users will receive the alert within seconds.
- ParentView App users will see both the Title and Message.
Note: FirstView GPS Dashboard users cannot currently send specific run level service alerts.
For help viewing alerts that have already been sent, click on Service Alerts in your DistrictView Dashboard - more info at Navigating Service Alerts article.
